On 19 September 2023, a bilateral agreement was signed between the University of Bielsko-Biala and the University of Malta, allowing for the deepening of international cooperation. Our University was personally visited by Prof. Frank Bezzina - Pro-Rector for International Development & Quality Assurance and Dr Emmanuel Said - Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy at the University of Malta.
On the part of the UBB, the meeting was attended by the Rector, Prof. Jacek Nowakowski, and the Vice-Rectors - Prof. Tomasz Knefel and Prof. Krzysztof Brzozowski, as well as the Head of the International Office, Dr Dagmara Mika, the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, Ms Aleksandra Hasior, and Dr Agnieszka Zielińska, who has been collaborating with professors from the University of Malta for the past year.
The University of Malta educates 11,500 students, including 1,400 international students from over 100 countries. It comprises 14 faculties, 114 academic departments, 17 institutes, 13 centres, three schools and 12 administrative directorates. It employs almost 3,000 academic staff and more than 1,000 administrative staff.
Signing of the agreement will intensify academic exchanges between the two universities.
