We are proud to announce that on April 23, 2025, a unique training session for foreign language teachers took place at the University of Bielsko-Biała, organized as part of the IDEREC project. The main organizer of the event was the University of Bielsko-Biała (UBB), and the training was attended by over 50 foreign language teachers from various educational institutions.
The lecture part was jointly conducted by the project coordinator Elwira Lewandowska and Katarzyna Ożańska-Ponikwia who shared their knowledge and experience related to the implementation of the IDEREC project and its outcomes. The workshop segment actively involved Małgorzata Raułyk-Dumanow and Przemysław Brom, who, together with teachers from partner schools - Oxford Primary School from Bielsko-Biala and Technical and Forestry School Complex from Żywiec - conducted practical workshops for the participants.
During the workshops, methods of working with the intervention program developed within the IDEREC project were discussed, aiming to improve reading comprehension skills in foreign languages: English and German. Participants had the opportunity to test ready-made lesson scripts and exchange experiences on implementing innovative methods of teaching foreign languages.
This training marked the culmination of two years of project work within the IDEREC program. Thanks to the commitment and collaboration of all partners, the main objectives of the project were achieved, creating an effective intervention program that supports the development of reading comprehension skills in foreign languages.
We are proud to announce that the success of the IDEREC project does not mark the end of our joint efforts. Thanks to the additional funding obtained by the project consortium, our collaboration will continue as part of a new project funded by the Visegrad+ Funds, titled: Developing Reading Literacy Through Integrated Information Recognition and Processing.
We are convinced that the experience gained during the implementation of the IDEREC project and the developed educational materials will become a solid foundation for further development of students' language competencies in the new project. We would like to thank all participants and partners for their joint efforts and contribution to the realization of this ambitious undertaking!
