"The key competencies in early childhood education". Second BIP

Last week the students of the Catholic University of Valencia, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, IES Gabriel Miró, University of Presov, and the University of Rijeka were the guests of the University of Bielsko-Biala, where along with the students of the UBB they were taking part in the physical component of the programme "The key competencies in early childhood education”.

As a Blended Intensive Programme, it has been organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the UBB, in co-operation with the International Relations Office, within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
During the event, the participants took part in such courses as: “Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in Practice”, “Art Education: Visual Communication”, “Personal, Social and Learning Competencies”, “Music visualisation: relaxation Schultz’s autogenic training”, “Music therapy in the early childhood education; songwriting, lyric discussion”, “Workshop with the expert from visual arts and education – representative of NGO”. Most of the classes were practical. Besides that, there was a study visit to the Special School and Educational Center in Żywiec and the sightseeing trips: visiting the historic centre of the city of Bielsko-Biała and a trip to Kraków with visiting the Old Town and the Christmas Fair happening there then. They have also found some time to participate in another Christmas Fair, which took its place at the UBB Campus on Tuesday, 12.12.2023.
During the physical component of the BIP, the participants had a task to prepare the project of an educational game for children. To that end, they had been divided into multi-national teams, in which they worked on the projects during those few days. The effects were presented on Wednesday evening and the proposed concepts of games were tried in practice.
The programme was co-ordinated by Małgorzata Jopek-Bizoń PhD and during the study visit in Żywiec, the students were accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, dr hab. Tomasz Knefel, prof. UBB. The courses were also held by: the Dean of the UBB Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, prof. dr hab. Ernest Zawada, Karolina Kantyka-Dziwisz PhD and Joanna Zając-Slapničar from the Arcy Arty Foundation.
